The pursuit of justice is not absolute or unchecked, but measured against the enduring principles of fairness, liberty, and the rule of law as laid out in the US Constitution. For our community to flourish it must be stabilized by strong leadership willing to protect good, hardworking, law-abiding families and businesses. Strong economies are built on systems that can be relied upon. This requires a Judge willing to correct wrongs and restore balance. Our District has a history of strong leaders and I look forward to working with other members of our great community to ensure a safe and prosperous future.

Above all Jerauld Pafford loves God and his family. His wife, Maggie, is a dentist, faculty, and interim Chair of the Department of General Dentistry at ECU School of Dental Medicine.
